Our central event is an annual scientific meeting named the Mycotoxin Workshop, which first started in 1979. The success of this conference, which resulted in an ever increasing attendance and organisatory workload, was one of the driving forces to initiate an official Society. 

The Mycotoxin Workshop is organized under the auspices of the Society for Mycotoxin Research.

Actually, the Mycotoxin Workshop attracts more than 200 participants from academia, government, and industry. 

Scientific contributions (approx. 100 per year, oral and poster presentations) cover all aspects of mycotoxin research. 

In addition to composing to a high quality scientific programme, we try to do our best to maintain an informal atmosphere, allowing participants to exchange information and experiences, to meet old friends and to make new ones. 

With an international attendence from more than 20 countries coming from all parts of the world, the official language of the conference is English.
